Every TV Show Coming to Apple TV+ in January 2024

As everyone plans their resolutions heading into 2024, some may think of trying new things, including watching more shows than this year. With a new year comes new series and movies to watch on the small screen. When it comes to TV series, it’s nice to either have a new episode every week to look forward to or binge-watch a new show in one day if all the episodes premiere at once. Apple TV+ has the right shows for you if you want a more dramatic January.

Apple TV+ doesn’t have an extensive selection next month compared to, say, Disney+, but that could mean focusing more on quality over quantity compared to Disney and judging by what we know of these shows, the quality will be through the roof. A space drama will continue from December into January, which has been received positively and poses as an alternate reality to our real-life history. Plus, two new drama series (one crime drama and one war story) will surely keep you on the edge of your seat. Here’s every series that is coming to Apple TV+ in January 2024.

For All Mankind (Season 4)

Cast
Joel Kinnaman , Michael Dorman , Sarah Jones , Shantel VanSanten , Sonya Walger

Main Genre
Sci-Fi

Continuing from December, we have the space drama series For All Mankind. The premise of the show is “What if the space race continued?” Basically, it’s what could happen after the first moon landing, exploring space and all of its possibilities, and where humanity would be now if the space race didn’t end. Fans were disappointed with the third season, but the fourth seems to have them over the moon.

Despite being fiction, the show displays a realistic representation of space and what we could have accomplished. For All Mankind season 4 finds the space program focusing on finding (and mining) precious mineral-rich asteroids for both Mars and Earth that could change the course of both planets’ histories. But there is tension in Happy Valley, as foes become friends after the third season, but how long will that last on the international base? This space series has received positive reviews, and the season finale is planned to premiere on Jan. 12.

Masters of the Air

Streaming Jan. 26

Who doesn’t love a good war drama? Masters of the Air serves as a companion piece to Band of Brothers (2001) and The Pacific (2010) and is based on the 2007 book Masters of the Air: America’s Bomber Boys Who Fought the Air War Against Nazi Germany by Donald L. Miller.

The show will follow the events of the 100th Bomb Group of the US Army during World War II. This specific event today is known as the Bloody Hundredth because of the situations the men of the group went through and the casualties that followed.

Much like Band of Brothers and The Pacific, Masters of the Air will focus on the physical, psychological, and emotional turmoils of war. These men paid the price to destroy Hitler’s Third Reich, suffering through frigid conditions and lack of oxygen and trying to survive combat in the air. If that’s not enough to convince you to watch it, the series is produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg.
