Copper Keys can open glowing red locked chests in Palworld, but you can only get this item by defeating certain enemies across the open world.
Glowing red chests can only be opened using Copper Keys in Palword, but it can be hard to get this item as you continue to visit more of your map. Specific enemies that drop Keys must be found by exploring hidden spots in larger areas. Random events could also provide a rare opportunity to collect a Copper Key or two if you are paying attention to threats to your base.
The Pal Leezpunk is one of the few creatures that have a chance to drop a Copper Key upon their defeat. You could collect a Key by either knocking out or capturing Leezpunk, but this Dark-type can be quite the elusive Pal. Make sure to study the Pal types and weaknesses Leezpunk has, so you can easily take one down with your team before it can get away.
10 Coolest Palworld Early-Game Pals To Capture
Palworld has 111 Pals available for players to find that range across nine different element types. Here are some of the coolest Pals early on.
Where to Get Copper Keys Fast in Palworld
Copper Keys are found in random loot from yellow chests or as drops from Syndicate enemies and Pals who raid your base in Palworld. Pal Raids are random events where waves of enemy creatures storm your base and try to destroy your structures. Among the attacking Pals are sometimes Leezpunks, who you can defeat in large numbers to receive multiple Copper Keys when they are knocked out.
Crafting an Alarm Bell will alert the Pals at your base that a raid is coming, and let them get ready for combat. The recipe for this item only unlocks in your Technology menu when you reach Level 4.
Syndicate members are actually human enemies you can fight on the Palpagos Islands in Palworld. These enemies can also be captured and traded, but only at Black Marketeer vendor locations, since they are considered illegal to trade for Gold. Defeating syndicate personnel will also let you grab a few Copper Keys as rare drops from knocking out these enemies throughout your journey.
Dungeons you explore have a chance to carry Copper Keys in the various chests found within their walls. While you may find more red chests that need a Key to be opened, yellow chests respawn after a time with new items in stock if you find them more than once. Repeated spelunking into familiar dungeons may let those who are persistent enough grab what they need.
Discovering a red chest is a matter of chance since these containers appear randomly in the world. Even when you get more Copper Keys than you might need in Palworld, you’ll still have to find the right places to use them.
