In 2024, Jacob Elordi will play Frankenstein’s monster in Guillermo del Toro’s movie, Frankenstein. The logline of the film, according to Netflix, is as follows: “Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro adapts Mary Shelley’s classic tale of Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist who brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation.” Although Netflix was not clear about who would be playing what, Deadline confirmed that Elordi would be playing Frankenstein’s monster.

Alongside Jacob Elordi, Frankenstein’s cast includes Christoph Waltz, Felix Kammerer, Oscar Isaac, and Mia Goth. Originally, the role of Frankenstein’s monster was supposed to go to British actor Andrew Garfield, but scheduling conflicts due to the SAG-AFTRA strike forced him to drop out. All in all, this is a very star-studded cast that is even more exciting considering who the director is and the history of the story. Plus, it is a great step forward for Jacob Elordi who is already on a career high.
